RTL CBS X Factor UK Booth at British Festival in BGC

Home to some of the biggest programs on UK television including The X Factor UK and Britain’s Got Talent, RTL CBS Entertainment showed its support for the 2017 British Festival at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig with booths that let festival goers experience the limelight.

The British Embassy also collaborated with The X Factor UK to give the crowd a stunning performance by Cercado sisters Almira, Celina, Irene, and Mylene of girl group 4th Impact that capped off the three-day festival.

Britain’s Got Talent Season 11 airs in April 2017, while The X Factor UK Season 14 airs in August, both first and exclusive on RTL CBS Entertainment.

Unicef launched Storybooks with Anne Curtis

UNICEF launches Children First! Storybooks- A collection of 6 children books that promotes reading and inspire children’s imaginations. Written in English and Tagalog text for children ages 3 and above, the books talk about different topics such as overcoming shyness, cultivating friendships and reaching for ones’s dream. The stories are presented in colourfull illustrations to fire up children’s sense of curiosity and wonder.

They launched the story books in SM North Atrium with UNICEF Celebrity advocate for children Anne Curtis-Smith, as one of the author of “Anita, the Duckling Diva” one of the 6 books written and illustrated by some of the most notable Filipino writers and artist.

“Children can learn language quickly and easily through hearing and singing songs, having stories told or read to them, repeatedly rhymes and playing games. Having a supportive environment in these early years will help children get ready for school and life-long learning” – Ms. Lotta Sylwander, UNICEF PH Representative.

Apart of teaching important lessons to children, the books also containing a child-friendly with version of the convention of the Rights of the Child (CRC), as well as internet safety reminders for young people.

According to Anne, the story about Anita was same as her when she was a child, they both shy and lack of self-confidence.

You can get your UNICEF children first! Story Books collection by donating to UNICEF, proceeds from the book will benefit UNICEF’s program for children in the Philippines and around the world. The book launching was supported by SM North EDSA and SM Cares. Visit Children First! Storybooks exhibit at 3rd level of The Block, SM North EDSA in Quezon City from Feb 20-25,2016.
